Lovely Lena

Have you ever met someone and just knew you were meant to be friends? Lena is a fellow local photographer whom I (Sheva) met over the internet. Oh, wow, the world wide web reaching out to connect people everyday. Mind boggling! Lena is not only beautiful but also does beautiful photography work (photography by lena). She is pregnant with her fourth child and had some shots in mind and wanted me to be her maternity photographer. I was hopeful that I would capture what she had in mind, while bringing my own perspective in. She is absolutely beautiful and so are her children. I am so blessed to have met her and her kiddos. I am so excited to keep in touch and play with our cameras more with one another!
Lena, you are lovely and such a hip mama!

Let's keep this friendship going girlfriend!

Jess and Nate Engagement

Jessica and Nate flew in from Cali for Thanksgiving weekend and we had the honor of taking their engagement photos. They were a joy to work with. We've photographed Jessica before, but this was our first time meeting Nate. They are so in love and that really comes through on film! Thank you so much for the opportunity to take your engagement pics and we look forward to the Wedding Fall 2009. You guys ROCK! Can you feel the love?!?!?!

Zoe in Bright Gloves

October has been so much fun, and busy busy busy. My dad gave me a fixed 50mm lens and here are a few shots we got when playing around with the new lens with our oldest Zoe as the model in a cool hat and colorful gloves.
This last one is soooo cool to me, and her baby brother who is 3 took this one below!

Hobo Venicio on the tracks

While our 1998 VW Jetta was broken down I took the opportunity to take our three year old down to the local train tracks (which are not currently operating). Venice picked out his overalls and t-shirt and I suggested his skull huggalugs on the arms and fire flame leggings for his legs. We took an old yellow bandana, stuffed it with a winter beanie and tied it to a stick on the side off the side of the road. We had so much fun playing on the tracks, BUT I was so scared of letting him get too comfortable with playing on train tracks. We won't go to the tracks again anytime soon, but it was so worth it to get some shots that are now framed on our living room wall. :D

Sassy Suzanne

Suzanne and her parents were over for dinner, and I had the backdrop over in the corner of the living room. She took my son's puzzle peices with her to the backdrop and I snapped a few snaps. How could I not share this shot on here?!
